Anyone Get Sick Starting Methadone Treatment Posted: 11-08-07 09:51am
Just started methadone treatment 7 days
ago. I've been terribly ill since. Can't
figure out if under dosed, over dosed,
just sick, having withdrawels, or what.
I'm very confused and don't want to give
up on the treatment yet, but I can't go on
being sick like this. Please help if you
know anyone that has gone this. Need
support big time. Everyone seems to have a
different opinion on this subject, it's
very scary! Thank You, Jodi
Oh yeah, the dosing went like this Friday
30mg, saturday 35mg, sunday i made them
bring me back to 30mg, monday 30mg ,
tuesday doctor thought i was underdosed
brought me up to 35mg, wednesday up to
40mg, thursday, today stayed at 40mg

Yes methadone can make some pretty sick. I
would tell my doctor that it is making you
ill and go from there. You probably have
already. If this persists I would him/her
know again right away. Methadone treatment
is a very seious thing and you doctor
needs to know exactly how you are feeling
all the time. So let him know if this
keeps up.
