Extemely Bad Eating Habits - fatty foods for taste Posted: 11-07-07 07:53am
Hi, I am new here, I love what you do to
help people - keep up the good work.
I am a 23 year old male, I weigh about
78kg and I am about 180cm's tall so my
weight and height are very normal for my
age which is fine.
My problem is the food I eat tends to just
about all be very fatty food and I am
worried about what effects this is going
to have on my body.
The reason I eat so much fatty food,
)mainly take-aways such as burger king,
mcdonalds etc) is because I don't like the
taste of most healthy foods and it is so
much easier to get fast food!
I am so fussy with my food even when i
have take away food it is very plain and
really only the fatty bits left in the
burger. eg. I will get a cheese burger
from mcdonalds and I will have the
pickles, onion and mustard removed so that
all is left is the meat, cheese and
ketchup. I am pretty much like this with
all foods and have a serious problem with
being able to try foods i'm not used to, I
immediately in my head think that I won't
like the food!
Luckily I seemed to have had a fast
motabolism most of my life and have always
been slim, and I do a lot of excercize and
play a lot of spot so I guess i'm
relatively physically fit, but I am very
worried about my nutrition and what health
problems may be in store for me in the
years to come.
I would love to enjoy regular healthy
foods but I just don't.
Does anyone have some advice on how to
cure this problem?
Thanks in advance.

Maybe try some interesting salads with
dressings on them so they taste a little
sugar-y? Like spinach tastes great with
raspberries or strawberries or
cranberries. And you can add walnuts,
sunflower seeds, etc. Try salads at good
restaurants to get some ideas and then
copy them at home.

If you like burgers and thing that are
fatting.. You can subsitute them for less
fatting things that taste good.. It will
take some time on your behalf. Like buy
some turkey burger and low fat buns and
you can still have french fries. Just bake
them in the overn instead of frying. You
don't have to give up on food you like
just make some changes and you woon't feel
do deprived.. If you want to eat healthy
it is just going to take time. You have to
make a decision not to go through the fast
food chains and instead go home and make
it.
