My father was diagnosed with Mesothileoma
in August and had his left lung removed in
October hes now home and doing well but
cannot eat textured food without being
sick, he can only eat things like porridge
or weetabix and soft food but any sort of
solid food makes him feel sick or to the
extent of being sick. This has been going
on for about 3 days now and i was
wondering what it could be? any help would
be great as i have seen my dad in enough
pain and i dont want to see him in
anymore.
Thanks

Unfortunately, mesothelioma is a very
malignant tumor. The esophagus is located
near the lungs so a mesothelial tumor can
affect the esophagus and cause those
eating difficulties that you describe. A
gastroscopy can reveal if the esophagus is
affected or not. You can consult an
internist for more information about the
procedure and diagnosis.
