Hey,
i am a 19 year old male who has never had
sexual intercourse because of the fear of
pregnancy and std's (sti's). I have had
oral sex with one girl who is not a virgin
and there may have been some slight
contact of the genitals but I mean slight.
A few days ago I noticed a small bump on
the shaft of my penis which I thought was
simply irratation from shaving. Now I
notice that it looks more like a small
wart??? I have a small wart on my left
hand and am thinking it must have been
transferred from there??? Is there anyway
this is an sti (hpv maybe), and if so what
should I do to take care of the situation
and my new current girlfriend???
Thanks so much in advance ...
a scared virgin
with horrible luck...

Technically you cannot get a sexually
transmitted disease if you have never had
sex, but you can get herpes or warts just
from coming in contact with one.
Question: when you say that you had oral
sex with the girl, did she give you oral
or you her? If she had a "cold sore"
(oral herpes) and gave you oral sex, then
you could very easily get genital herpes
from it. Or vice versa. Or if she has
genital warts and you rubbed on them, you
could very well have contracted it from
her.
Most likely it is nothing serious, but I
would definately get checked. As for
your girlfriend, just ask her if she has
anything. Or, if she has been tested.
But, before you two become "active" or
even continue doing what you do, you both
need to get tested.

Actually you can get an std even if you've
never had sex. And you can get them from
oral sex and as you say slight contact
with the genitals.
That doesn't mean this bump you have is
anything though. Could be a shaving bump
like you first thought or it could be
something called a papule, which is a
harmless bump that a lot of guys have.
Or it could be something more.
As far as the wart being transferred from
your hand, no. Warts that appear on the
hands, feet, etc. Are a different strain
of virus than the ones that appear on the
genital, so that's outta the question.
Just to be sure, go to the doc, get it
checked out. It is possible that you got
something from the girl you did oral with.
Just get it checked out, let your
current girlfriend know and be prepared to
answer lots of questions because if you do
have an std, she'll think you lied about
being a virgin. Good luck! Let me know
if you have any other questions.

You Can Get Allsorts From Just Kissing Posted: 04-08-04 22:07pm
And oral sex is unprotected, I found out
the hard way. See my post:
It is common knowledge that you can get
stds from oral sex.
And I did say above that you can get stds
even if you have not had actual
"intercourse", but being as it is a
sexually transmitted disease then if you
had no sexual contact, then obviously you
could not have an std. But, with the
contact that you did have, I would
definately get checked just to be sure.
