Hello I was just wondering if anyone could tell how effective the pill and vcf would be if used together at preventing pregnancy. My girl friend dose not like condoms, and i need a little somthing more to give me peace at mind. Currently shes on the pill(wich is taken at the same time give or take 5 minutes Laughing) and ive just been pulling out....even though its pretty much pointless she seems to think its doing somthing Confused Thank you for your time

She should be protected but pulling out is just an extra precaution. But no you don't have to. She is taking the pill correctly that should be all you need Smile

Using the pill and VCF together should be VERY effective at preventing pregnancy. The pill alone, if used perfectly, has about a 99% effectiveness rate, and using the film on top of that will just make it that much more effective.

Nothing is ever 100% of course, but using two effective contraceptive methods together (correctly) is probably about the closest you will get to 100%, barring abstinence. They do not protect against STDs, however; condoms would be better for that. Also, pulling out is really quite pointless; it achieves nothing.

If she is good and consistent with her pills and is using the film properly, you should be well protected indeed!
