Q: Underage Pregnancies...Mistake with Birth Control Pills

I'm 17 and have been actively having sex with my 18 year old boyfriend since January...We've been lucky so far in the sense that I haven't been pregnany. Now, however, I'm really worried. I'm on birthcontrol and I recently started a new pack. The day (sunday) I was supposed to start...the pharmacy was closed and I couldn't get a hold of them...thus...I took two pills at my regular time on Monday night. Then a few days later, I made the mistake of thinking my pills were in my purse and left them at school and was caught in the same predicament. In that week we've had sex three times...two times we used a condom...and once we didn't (but we used the withdrawal)...so could i possibly be pregnant? I've been really paranoid lately..and I don't know what I would do if I were to get pregnant. Abortions in michigan are illegal without parent permission and I really don't want to tell my parents if I had to go through that....any advice?

withdrawl doesnt mean anything ond does not protect you from pregnancy

Wait to see if you are pregnant before worrying about it.

No, the only way to know is to wait until you get a missed period and test, unless you go to the doctor and request a blood test, but even that wouldn't be accurate until a few days after implantation (and usually doctors won't do one unless you get a positive pregnancy test or miss your period). I know waiting sucks, but it's the only thing you can do right now other than take your pills normally and use back up contraception (something other than the withdrawal method please) until you get your period and start your new pack.

Birth control pills can cause spotting. Rough sex can cause spotting. Normal mid cycle can cause spotting.

Honestly, you will need to wait. It literally could be anything.

Dont worry
You should talk to someone close to you about it and see if they will go to the docters with you seeing as you mentioned you dont want to tell your parents. I wouldnt worry about it now. Maybe take a pregancy test with that close friend to support you through the hard choices. And make sure your boyfiend always knows about everything you decide.
