Need Advice And Some Treatment Options Posted: 11-06-07 13:12pm
My symptoms are a dull ache in my jaw and
I'm doing something at nighttime although
splints do not help me. I went to see a
NMD but they said their testing showed it
wouldn't help me. I just started
acupuncture last week and I am taking some
herbs but no real success yet. I also
sleep on my back which seems to help some
days. I also have some muscle relaxants a
doctor just prescribed me. A few
questions:
I know of a dentist that can make a night
guard that holds the upper and lower jaw
in place for $800. I've never heard of
this but it seems like it would solve my
problem. What do people think of this?
Can people list other treatments besides
the ones I've listed that could help me
stop grinding, clenching, or whatever
movement I'm doing?
