Reason i'm asking is because my girlfriend has had morning sickness for 3 or 4 weeks and says she cant make it to school but her parents force her anyways and she's always extemely exausted. When she refuses to go, they whoop her.

hate to say it, but if she can't handle being pregnant while in school, perhaps you both should have been more careful.

plenty of pregnant woman manage to go to work or school every day while suffering with morning sickness.

BridgetHeartsFinn and rachel, maybe you were not as sick as this girl is. Did it ever occur to you that some people get so sick while they are pregnant that they are bedridden?

I was so sick my husband had to take 2 weeks off from work to take care of me.

It's also not all the pain she endors.
It's a lot of stress.
People makeing fun of her for being pregnant. Constantly being called a prostitute. People these days can be cruel...

She can go to the doctor. There are many things her doctor can give her that can help her with her morning sickness.

This is actually a fact of a teenage girl being pregnant. Those kids calling her those names are also having sex - its just none of them have turned up pregnant.

It isn't 'THESE DAYS' - girls have been ridiculed for getting pregnant for eons.

It is very important that your girlfriend stay in HIGH SCHOOL. What kind of life can she give that child if she is a drop out?

Total bullpoo. I had morning sickness so bad that I was repeatedly dehydrated, and I still went to school after getting put on medication. Unless her sickness is so bad that she needs to go to the hospital for an IV drip, she needs to suck it up.

i was practically bedridden. even after i got medication for it (and i'm wondering why you didn't?), i was still passed out on the couch most of the day. my husband couldn't afford to take 2 weeks off, so i was "forced" to take care of my 9-month old all day every day. you know what? i made it and so can she.

but you're right, maybe she should just drop out.

What isn't healthy for a pregnant teen is having a parent "whoop her".

Have her get some medicine for her morning sickness and complete her education.

I did have medication for it. You know first hand how ineffective it is.

I don't think she should drop out. I just think she could take a few days off
until the worst passes, and I think her father should stop WHIPPING her.
