I'm thinking about putting my old clothes
that I'll never fit into ever again &
the stuff Kaylee grows out of on there.
Maybe some of the old toys that haven't
been touched in months. Even if I could
make a few bucks I'll be thrilled, & I
know baby stuff is a big hit.

we sell stuff on there occasionally.
with clothes, especially baby clothes,
it's best to sell them as a lot and not as
individual pieces.
ebay does charge you to list things, but
it's cheap. i think it's around 75 cents
per listing.
for shipping we just guess. we usually
sell a bunch of stuff at a time, so we may
overcharge on shipping for one person and
undercharge someone else, but it all works
out in the end.

I've never sold anything there, but have
friends that have. If I remember right I
think Ebay gets a percentage of what you
sell and if you add more bells and
whistles to the action (make it more
appealing) they will charge you for
that.... for each bell and whistle you
add.

Oh ok, see I didn't know they charged you
for selling things. I have no idea what
the heck I'm doing!
B, if I wanted to sell some of Kaylee's
old clothes, how many pieces of clothing
should I put together to sell as a lot?
Does it all have to be the same brand or
can I mix & match?

they do charge you, but it's less than $1
per listing. you don't need to add
anything fancy to your listings (they
charge extra for that).
you should go check out current auctions
that have high bids to see what people are
doing. i'd put at least 6-8 items of
clothing per auction, mainly because you
don't want to have to deal with the hassle
of sending those things out individually.
it can be different brands, but make sure
it's all the same size.

It is super easy to sell on Ebay. I have
done it several times and its not that
hard at all. You need to take a few
pictures of the item so that it is easily
identified or any blemishes or anything.
They charge you a listing fee, and for
additional pictures. There are a lot more
things you can do to your listing to get
it noticed, but I don't think its worth
it. The listing fee varies by the price
that you start your item at. Also, they
charge you another small fee when it gets
sold and that is a % of what it sold for.
Overall, its not that expensive and I have
had good luck with it.

No problem...Its Heather btw
Yeah, you need to sign up with a paypal
account. This keeps the transaction
secure. It is a secure way for the person
who is buying from you to send you money,
and once its in your paypal account then
its yours. You can have paypal send you a
check, deposit it into your checking
account, or send you a debit card.
I buy a lot of things off of ebay as well,
so I use the money that I make from
selling stuf to buy other things. Also if
you buy something you will want to pay for
it with Paypal. It just more secure.

Cool, let me know if you need help.
I would suggest what Bridget said about
looking at other peoples auctions before
you post yours. It will give you a better
idea of how to word your auction. You can
pull key words out of their auctions and
use it in yours. Also, it will give you a
good idea of what is selling and whats
not.

Good luck. It's super easy to list things
on there. I've sold quite a bit of stuff
on there in the past. I have some stuff
that I need to list on there now, but I
haven't had the time to do so. The
listing fee depends on the starting price
you set for your auction. If you start
them at $0.99 or less, the listing fee is
only $0.30. The higher the listing price,
the higher the fee is. You'll get the
hang of it in no time.

Thanks everyone for all the help! I'm
going to start taking pictures of all the
stuff I have here when Kaylee takes her
nap. Otherwise she'll be taking all the
clothes & running!
