OK.. i just got an email from a friend of mine, Amanda, that lives in California.

Well, she was with her 3 year old daughter Aurielle today at a grocery store just minding her own business shopping, when an older lady (im told about, 65) walks up, spits on her, and tells her that *she should be ashamed of herself walking around looking like a Floozy*

She was wearing Shorts and a T-shirt from Hollister.

She did the finger test, just to prove a point, and the tips of her fingers were ABOVE where the shorts ended. SO they werent too short.

But why THE HELL would that stupid lady spit on her IN FRONT OF HER CHILD?

I cant believe i brought kids into this world.
I just cant.

She was too stunned to do anything about it.. but apparently a stock boy saw everything and radio'd his manager and they made the lady leave and told her not to come back and Amanda got her groceries free lol. (i dont know why, the store didnt do anything.. but that was nice of them anyway.)

The nerve of some people.

This story hurt my heart. No one deserves to be humiliated/treated that way... and never disrespected in front of their child! That woman needs to get her priorities straight.

p.s. i hope no one takes offence to me saying the word "gay" i am not racial towards gay people...i have a gay uncle (which I love to hang out with)...and also gay friends. Just didnt want anyone to take offence to that.

IDK. In my culture spitting on someone is the ultimate sign of disrespect. I don't know how I would have handled that since she's older. But I can't guarantee that I wouldn't have been brawling in that store with an old lady. Horrible as it sounds, I don't think I would have been able to handle it. I was spit on once and before I could even think I was beating the crap out of a boy. It was almost like a reflex. That's the same as calling me "maleducada".

I would have called the police and had her arrested. Spitting is considered to be an assault. That would have been better than my first reaction which would have been to throw her on the ground and beat the nasty out of her

I can't even imagine what I would do if someone spit on me. Your poor friend she must have been so hurt and embarrassed. The sad thing is that even though the old lady got kicked out of the store......she probably doesn't think that what she did was wrong.

Man some old people really need their heads checked!!! I'm sorry but just because they are old doesn't give them the right to be disrespectful.

It probably doesn't have much to do with her being old, she was probably a bitter mean person when she was young.

That's terrible.. poor her!

People are stupid. I was out shopping today & some old woman came up to Jenny, poked her forehead & said "you shouldn't be so nosey!!" in a really nasty voice.. Jen was only reaching for something on the shelf, like babies do. I was too shocked to say anything back.. she POKED my baby Sad

That would have been it for me. I would have to say I would have poked her and said, "you need to stay the eff out of it".

What the heck? Has everyone lost their minds? Clearly these old women got nothing but witch (with a b) for their last birthdays

i guess i'm just lucky where i live. most elderly people take a big interest in william and coo over him whenever im on the bus. ive only had one snotty old lady, when i dropped his bottle on the floor and picked it up 'you have to sterilise that bottle before giving it to him, you'll give him germs! do you even know what you're doing? how old are you?' i just picked up the bottle on the floor

i agree with you. There is no way anyone is ever going to touch my son and angrily scold him for doing normal toddler things...I would have poked her in the forehead right back.
