I am 31 and I had a cold knife conization 15 weeks ago for Carcinoma in Situ after a HGIL pap and colposcopy. At the same time I had tubal litigation. My OB said she had to cut pretty deep. A week after I had a spontanous hemorage on the vaginal wall which the doctors couldn't explain except maybe presure from a rectrator. I have had a period yet since the surgery nor 3 months before surgery and have other symptoms like bleeding after sex, mood swings, fatigue, migranes, cramps and pain in my lower back. At my checkup almost 2 weeks ago Doc had me take aygestin for 5 days to induce my period but had to stop after 4 days due to severe migrane. It has been 8 days and no period yet. Should get the results of my latest pap then also. Doc suggest if this comes back with anything abnormal I should go ahead and have a Hestorectomy. I am unsure of how to deal with these symptoms and if I need a second opinion. I do like my doc and trust her but this is a big deal to me. Any Advise would be helpful.

What type of contraception you have used before ligation?
Are you experiencing spotting?
Do you suffer from migraine for longer period?

I have not been on birth control for 10 years. Before that I was I used an IUD. I have 3 kids, 14,10 and 4. Usually healthy. I have had some spotting, and bleeding after intercourse. I rarely have headaches or migraines. I have been having severe cramping since the last 2 weeks. During my normal cycle I've always only had some mild discomfort.

Abnormal bleeding like in your case can be a symptom of gynecologic cancer(cervical, uterine, ovarian cancer)
Fatigue is one of the most commonly experienced cancer symptom.
Are you experiencing general overall change in your bowel habits?
Have you lost weight unintentionally?

Update

I have had some changes, I have not lost any significant weight. I had a pelvic ultrasound yesterday and my ovaries are alive and everything looks okay but need to wait for final report. Also had bloodwork for FSH and TSH, should get result next week. The fatigue and cramps are the worst. I think I am going to seek a second opinion.

The malignant potential of a specific lesion cannot be predicted, so all types of dysplasia must be observed and treated if they persist or become more severe.
Have you received your last pap results already?

In women who have completed childbearing, total hysterectomy (removal of the entire uterus) is the treatment of choice. In other women, acceptable options include cervical conization (surgical removal of the entire "transformation zone" and endocervical canal), or destruction of the lesion with cryotherapy or laser treatment.

I would definitely recommend a second opinion by a certified nurse midwife, they are very knowledgeable in all areas of women's health.

Update

Thanks for all the advise. I had a pelvic ultrasound...all clear. Bloodwork...not in menopause. My OB did a cervical dialation thinking I might have scar tissue from the conization....not the case. She got in a second doc and now I am on a low dose Lybrel birth control for 3 weeks to see if that kick starts a period. Cramps are still painful and I have a dull persistent ache in my lower back and some slight nausea. OB said my she hasn't seen someones cervix still be so tender 4 months after surgery and the pain associated with that might never go away.

Pelvic discomfort and cramping are risks or complications that can follow the conization procedure. Most women describe the sensation as being similar to menstrual cramps.
Usually the discomfort is mild, although some women develop marked pelvic cramps.
Another reason for pain can be infection of regenerating cervix. If you are experiencing foul smelling odor, too, you are probably having an infection.
Because of the stress of tissue repair that is taking place within the cervix, women are developing abnormal periods for 1-2 months following the cervical conization.

I had a loop done 5 weeks ago and still have pain where the cervix is. Also, I have a lump on the right side to where the operation was. Is this normal?

I am concerned of the pain I am having 5 weeks are colposcopy. My bladder seems to have been affected as I cannot hold my urine! I have not had intercourse yet and I have not had any bleeding apart from my period!
