There is preserved lumbar lordosis seen. There is minimal diffuse disc desiccation noted. The distal spinal cord appears unremarkable.
At the L5-S1 level no disc abnormality is seen no neural foraminal narrowing is noted. At the L4-L5 level no focal disc abnormality is seen. At the L3-L4 level minimal circumferential disc bulging causes slight thecal impression. The right neuroforamen demonstrates mild compromise inferiorly by an apparent rightward disc protrusion in the neuroforamen. The left L3 nerual foramen is unaffected. At the L2-L3 and L1-L2 levels no focal disc sbnormality is seen. The facet joints at L4-L5, and to some extent at L3-L4 and L5-S1 levels demonstrate some degenerative arthritic changes, minial synovial thickening is seen at hte L3-L4 level. No synovial cyst or compromis of the spinal canal is seen. When comparing to previous exam the enhancement at the facet joints, synovial fullnes is unchanged. Conclusion: At the L3-L4 level a right neural foraminal protrusion compromises mildly the right L3 neural foramen without frank neural impingement. Minimal L3-L4 disc bulging is otherwise seen. Facet degenerative changes are seen at lower lumbar levels not significantly advanced

I will give it ago but i am not a doctor but i did a first aid coarse in the boy scouts.

"There is preserved lumbar lordosis seen." this means that the bottom of your spine has excessive curvature convex at the front of your spine.

"There is minimal diffuse disc desiccation noted," This means that your disks have lost some of there volume (height) due to drying out.

First two bottom disks are ok the next disk up L3-L4 there is a bulging disk that is protruding into the spinal canal, and touching the membrane that surrounds the spinal cord, it is also protruding into the neuroforamen. (a hole in the vertebrae that nerves coarse out of)

The next two disks up are ok.

The facet joints of you 3 bottom vertebra (small joints at the back of your vertebra that allow them to move upon one another) show some arthritic changes with minimal synovial thickening, the synovial tissues surround a joint and produce the fluid that lubricates the joint. These changes have not advanced significantly since your last MRI.

" At the L3-L4 level a right neural foraminal protrusion compromises mildly the right L3 neural foramen without frank neural impingement."

This means that all though the disk is bulging into the hole that the nerves coarse out of in the vertebra, it is not touching the nerves.

Good luck likath42
