An egg or sperm alone isn't a "step" in the reproductive process.... it's the COMBINATION that is a process.


I am continually astonished at the ignorance of pro-lifers who think this way.

So much more needs to occur after the sperm meets egg that it is almost incomprehensible. To say that before sperm and egg meet, they are worthless, but after they meet, "that's all there is to it!" is NUTS!

A sperm and egg make up a zygote which is ONE SINGLE CELL. The mother's body cxreates the child cell by cell, beginning before the mother herself is even born.

When the mother was a fetus herself, her eggs were being formed,. The very DNA that would go on to create her child was created when the mother was a fetus herself.
