The doc who prescribed you the birth control knows about the other medications you're on, right?

If it hasn't been long since your abortion, that could be causing your periods to react weird.

PANDA-

I do not know if you know this..

The first 3 months on BC pills can be full of spotting, bleeding, and irregular periods. We usually tell women to not switch until the 3 month adjustment time is up, unless they have SERIOUS mood/depression side effects.

I most likely is not related to your abortion, but related to YOU. Some women, like ME, cannot use any hormonal bc methods.

AN abortion is done just like the surgery for a regular miscarriage, and many of those women have FEW complications.

ALSO, BC pills can make depression WORSE, it made my antidepressants seem like they did not work at ALL.

There are non hormonal methods, like the IUD, that I think is the best BC method around.

And if the medications you're on for you bladder are antibiotics, that could complicate things.
