Ok I woke up this morning and went to the
bathroom and took a poop (it was really
long and really big lol) and it hurt when
I went not too bad but like one sharp pain
when it came out (sorry for all the tmi)
anyways I went to wipe and look down
(because of Dr. Oz on Oprah I ALWAYS look
at my poop hehe) and there was some blood
at the bottom of the bowl and when I wiped
(i wanted to see if it was coming from my
Vajayjay or my butt) and it was coming
from my butt...I called my doctor but hes
not in until 1 which is stupid but oh well
so I was just wondering if this is somehow
normal during pregnancy..or if anyones
ever experienced this? Btw I have not been
constipated all at my whole pregnancy but
I have been having rather large poops
lately...so please help if ya can Thanks girls!

yea, that kinda happened to me too. It
was so light though I barely could see the
blood, and I only saw it on the toilet
paper, not in the toilet. When I called
the doctor, the lady that answered the
phone said that it didn't sound like
anything to worry about, but if it got
worse to definetly go to the er, cuz it's
better to be on the safe side.

Oh yeah, 'roids. They are very common in
pregnancy. Mention it to your doctor at
your next appointment. And take it easy.
If you *whispers* butt hole hurts, you
should call the doctor and ask if you can
use some hemorroid cream

You will probably have them on and off for
the rest of your life. I'm sorry. But it
is true.
Don't strain when you 'go' - just don't
really push it out hard. And hard stools
can aggravate the soreness.
If you want to call your doctor back at 1,
you call. They can give you
more pinpointed advice on what to do FOR
YOU. And I know it would make you feel
more comfortable to get the right advice
for you.

I believe it has something to do with the
extra blood a woman has when she's
pregnant. A lot of women do get
consitpated during pregnancy. I'm not
really sure what causes them. Not every
woman has pain from them or even knows
they are there, but they just appear
sometimes.

It is the extra blood that women get. And
I have had them since I was 16. But they
are internal ones. I rarely get external
ones. The doctor told me, when I was in my
early 20's I probably got them in
pregnancy.

doesnt bleed every time I go so they think
i just irritated my mucus membrane?

Lucky you, hemorrhoids are horrible. I
should know, I suffer soooo badly with
external ones. I can't actually remember
that last time I DIDN'T bleed when going
to the loo.. but I can imagine how scary
it must be the first time it happens!

Oh thats terrible, Zanny. I've only had
external ones about 4 times. But the fact
that I know how many times I've had them,
tells me they are very memorable. And NOT
in a good way!

Nope, definitely not in a good way.
They've been so bad lately, every cream or
ointment the doctor has prescribed has
done NOTHING to ease them. My only option
now is surgery, & that certainly
doesn't sound fun.

Preparation H has a soothing gel that
helped ease the discomfort of the external
ones I had when I was pregnant. Nothing
took the pain away, but the cool gel
helped a lot
