Naval Piercing Working Itself Out?
Posted: 11-02-07 02:23am

i've had a naval piercing for a little more than 2 years. About 4 months ago, it developed an infection on the skin between the piercing. It was sometimes painful and crusty, but I kept it clean. Now, there seems to be no infection but there is still a red area. I went to the doctor and she gave me staph infection antibiotics to try and it didn't help. Lately, the skin between the piercing seems pretty thin and there's even a tiny pin-sized hole in the middle of it! I dont want to just give up on the piercing, but I dont want it to work itself out or have a red circle there! What would you suggest? Thank you!

I would suggest going back to the person who pierced you and asking them!!

Take it out! This happened to me when i was pregnany, the hole will get bigger and eventually split tottaly. if you take it out now and let it heal then you stand a good chance of getting in re-pierced in the future
