Why exactly are you going to the mall when your doctor told you to stay off your feet? What at the mall is worth risking your daughter's health if you go into premature labor?

im going to bath and body works to get some lotion
then me and travis are going to go see a movie
then im going to go to dillards for a while and start christmas shopping

i wont be walking around though
the doctor said as long as im not walking alot then its okay
she said avoid going up and down the stairs, walking at fast paces, swimming and sex. oh and she said not to sit in the car for long periods of time

but when i asked about the mall she told me to ride in one of those wheelchairs they offer.

Uh huh. It just seems to me that it'd be safer for you to stay at home instead of going all over town in a wheelchair. I was put on bedrest at the beginning of my third trimester, and as much as it sucked, you know what I did? I stayed at home off my feet like I was told, because my baby's health mattered more to me than my boredom level or some lotion at B&B.

And I thought you didn't like movies?

i HATE movies. but thats the only way to get travis to go to the mall Smile

im not on bed rest if she told me to stay in bed or laying down all day long then id do it. but she didnt. she said to take it easy and not to over do it.
as long as im not walking around then it chould be ok
and travis already said he'd push me

So....how is riding around in a wheelchair all day different than being in a car for long periods of time? I don't understand that.

I thought you said in another thread that she wanted you laying instead of sitting or standing at home? I guess I don't see how sitting in a wheelchair or in a theater seat is much different from sitting in a car. Why would you go running around at the mall if you know you're dilated at 34 weeks? Why would you go Trick or Treating, for that matter?

I don't know. I guess I just don't understand how you're making this out to be no big deal to go running all over town, but Travis is not letting you go downstairs to get food. It doesn't make any sense to me. I would think you'd take premature labor a bit more seriously than this.
