May I suggest you check out "the south beach diet" by Dr. Arthur agatston? He is the cardiologist who developed this approach to eating as a way to help his patients. I just completed reading the book, and there was a reference to the type of symptoms you are describing. There is a name for the condition (which he gave in the book). I don't know if it matches up with what you are experiencing, but it sounds very much like it. I apologize, but I don't have the book with me right now as I loaned it to a friend, so can't tell you what page I read it on. But it caught my attention as I read the book, because I have noticed other people with the same type of skin condition and always wondered what caused it. Hope this helps. - kia
