so yesterday at my appt i was checked and
the dr found out im already 2cm dialated
im going to be 34 weeks tomarrow.
she said i have a cervical insufficiancy
and that this means my cervix is
dialateing without contractions and shes
worried about early rupture of the
membranes (sp?)
i was just wondering if anyone else had
this while pregnant? and what was the
outome?
 thanks!

Suzy, did your doctor suggest a cerclage?
No sex? (Sex is NO NO when you have an
incompetent cervix!)
I saw she is limiting you on activity -
and you aren't listening by going trick or
treating, etc. Don't be silly, girl!
Follow the doctor's orders and just be
still. Yeah, sure it sucks. And I know it
isn't any fun - but this is the only life
your child has. Make sure she starts it
healthy, ok? Premature babies are not any
fun at all and are at risk for a multitude
of illnesses. You have the power to make
sure that doesn't happen.
So put your feet up and RELAX. Get someone
to go rent you a million movies or do 2
months worth of school work. Write out all
your thank you notes. Make up your birth
announcements (minus the birth date and
time, etc). Learn to knit. Make a
scrapbook.

She's too far along to have her cervix
sewn shut. They usually only do that
before 24 weeks. It might be a good idea
for you to abstain from sex for the rest
of your
pregnancy. |
hence most* and not all was used.
