Sick While On the Pill (microgynon 30) -does It Still Work?! Posted: 11-01-07 08:09am


I am on microgynon 30 and have taken it as directed (usually early morning) but i was sick around 2am last night. i still took today's pill, but i am concerned that yesterday's would not have been effective because i was sick (although it was around 19 hours after i took it). Do i need emergency contraception, or is it likely that the pills are/were not affected? Thanks

You were fine. It takes your body a few hours to absorb the pill; about 3-5. Any time after that, you're fine.
