I started my period when I was 13 and I am now 20 but I don't get my period monthly. Its comes anywhere between 3 to the longest being 7 months apart. But this last past month I have had it and it won't stop but its not really like a period. Its just a little bit and it doesn't even look like blood, its sort of like brownish with a little red sometimes no red. I have been wearing pads now for like a month straight and its starting to get irritated so I don't know what to do, if this is not healthy if I should be worried or if its going to fine?

I would go to a gynecologist and talk to them. You're over the age of 18 so you should be getting a pap smear every 1-3 years anyway now.

I think your need a gyno to check you out. having your period 7 months apart is not normal

long periods
I have had the same problem for years. the pill helped me regulate, but each time i try to go off of it, i will go months between periods, and then have periods that last 2-3 weeks if not more (one lasted 7 months) they are exactly as you describe, just heavy enough to need a tampon or pad.

I know that the pill helped me a lot with this, they were completely regular, but any time I go off, I have no idea, they're awful. ...

Anyone have any ideas for either of us? I personally have been to the doctor and their only answer is the pill which i don't want to be on because i'm trying to get pregnant, obviously not going to work if my dumb period won't stop...

Have you ever thought of seeing an acupuncturist? They can use herbals which will help to regulate your hormones, and help regulate your cycle. All naturally, and more safely than using prescription medicine that can harm you in ways that aren't even known. Sometimes you don't need to do the actual acupuncture, but just the herbals. A medical doctor will almost always suggest pharmaceutical drugs, where a homeopath or alternative style doctor will use natural herbals. If you want to get pregnant you can let them know and they will only use safe stuff for pregnancy.
