This first month of treatment is quite
intensive.
The child may spend some or much of that
time in the hospital, because serious
infections can occur. Supportive care
(nursing care, nutrition, antibiotics, red
blood cell and platelet transfusions, etc)
and taking all prescribed medicines
properly are very important.
The chances for a cure are very good with
leukemia. With treatment, most children
with leukemia are free of the disease
without it coming back.
Do you know what were the symptoms the kid
has experienced?
Can you help his parents with keeping and
taking care after their other kids if they
have it?
Can you suggest your son to make some
surprise or present for his friend?

I'm very, very sorry!
I'll have his family in my prays!
I'll pray for your son, too, to find a way
to cope with his loss.
