Q: Couple of Questions On Yaz

been taking estrostep for about two years but i have really bad mood swings the week before my period so doc. switched me to yaz....
wanted to know if the transition messes with the body emensly or if ill stay (emotionally and physically) the same?
how bad it is to smoke and be on this pill? (i'm not a heavy smoker, but i'm known to have atleast one a day and possibly 8 or 9 on weekends)
any help would be much appreciated.....thanks

You should not smoke on birth control. Smoking is already bad for you, and with birth control you throw in the risk of stroke. How bad is it? Bad enough to quit.

Your mood/body may change, it may not. Every woman reacts differently.

well i'm somewhat worried about yaz now cause someone just recently told me that new info had just came out on yaz and that it was really bad, and that it messes with your body in really bad ways, is this true, or am i just stressing for nothing?

Serious side effects on birth control are rare. So I'd say you're stressing for nothing. "Naturalists" like to pop up every few years and freak people out about medications. It's nothing new.
