I'm on TriCyclin Low 28 and I have been for over a year now.. Im 4 days late for my period and a bit concerned... For the past few days ive been having browny red discharge.. not alot, but enough to worry me. If i took a home pregnancy test, would the pill mess up the results?

Birth control will not effect the result of a home pregnancy test. If you are late the result should be correct.

It is common to experience very light monthly bleeding once you have been on the pill for a while. This could be what is happening to you.

Have you missed any pills this month?

I did actually miss a pill this month.. I must have dropped it when i was taking my meds at night and not realized it.. I found it the next morning on the floor and took it then..

Ive never really had discharge like this before so it sort of worries me... but I forgot about that missed pill until you mentioned it.. could thatbe the cause?
