Are you planning on attending college? I wouldn't worry too much over high school transcripts. Mine weren't so good either. I had no idea what I wanted to be and here I am 2 years into college and I'm still shaky about what I want. But because I wasn't really sure I went to a bigger college (They probably won't care about your transcripts either) so there was variety of different courses I could try out. I've narrowed down what I want now so I feel a little better.

I have definitely gone through that. My senior year was a mess.
Just think of things you really enjoy doing and try and look in that direction for a career.

There are a lot of colleges that don't care about grades. Heck, as long as you have money, a college doesn't care at all what your grades were in high-school. Good grades only help with getting scholarships.

There is always the option of the military for a few years, or the reserves. The military is not evil! You could also go into the Peace Corps.

Don't Worry
No one remembers or cares much about your high school experience, except when you are actually there experiencing it. You know, you can always get a fresh start at a community college. You go there for 2 years, it's cheaper, usually quieter and there are usually more free services to help you succeed than at the bigger universities. You get yourself a passing GPA and then you can go to a bigger university if you want to. Community College students get priority in admissions to bigger university. Your high school transcripts become irrelevant.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I think you'll find a lot of people don't know what they want to do...heck, I'm almost 30 and have had several big career changes.

You're not going to be 'locked' into anything forever.

I hope that you are getting the depression treated well. This kind of major life event (graduation) is going to compound the effects of the depression.

If you want to go to college, alot of colleges will take life events into account if your grades suck. Talk to a guidance counselor at school or contact a college admissions representative. They may be able to help wade you through the process and get financial aid.

Maybe instead of looking towards a "big" goal-what do I want to do the rest of my life? look towards smaller ones like, "where do I want to spend my days" "what do I want to be doing in a year" to help get some focus. Best of luck!

Hm. I'm in one of the bigger universities in my state and I we have plenty of career and tutoring services, both of which are always free and open most of the day.

I'd look around and see what you like more. Have you visited any colleges?
