If I ever got a big dog, it would either be a Lab, a German Shepard, or a Husky Very Happy

I'm looking for a dog that's a good, friendly, family dog capable of defending me and chu if necessary. I don't mind a high energy level because I walk them til their tongues hang out! Laughing j/k but i do exercise them. i discovered early that pits need a lot of exercise or they destroy your house. Laughing i need a dog that likes to chill too. My dogs were a big part of movie night. no human aggression. dog aggression doesn't bother me since i plan to socialize my dogs. i need a dog that doesn't bark very often. noise drives me insane. intelligent. dominant personalities are okay since I have one. little to no shedding (short hair). umm... i think those are all of my requirements. actually reading this over again reminds me of my pits. maybe i'll just get two... Confused

I dunno about short haired dogs not shedding. My 2 dogs shed like crazy! All of the short haired dogs I've ever had have always shed. My long haired dogs usually shed less.

That's how my bullies do. It IS really nasty! The hair looks like tumble weeds at the end of each day. We turned our garage into a den just for the dogs because of the shedding. I didn't want the hair in our house. We have to sweep, and mop in there daily just to keep it clean from the excessive shedding! Sad

you poor thing! i didn't know short hairs could shed that much. I have a long haired cat now and she sheds like that. i wake up every morning with my face swollen up. allergies. i use that arm n hammer carpet fresh with pet hair release and it seems to work. but by bedtime she's got hairballs everywhere again. I won't be sorry to see the back of that cat. I'm not a cat person anyway so my aunt is going to take her. She's got seven cats, what's one more? Wink

no i convinced her owners to hand her over... they kept her in a kenel that she could hardly move in all day long and then at night she was let out but she was left at a car lot all by herself. she chewed on mufflers cause she was soo bored. they didnt have a fenced yard so when they took her home and let her out they really just let her go even though they lived off of a extremelly busy street. they left her out in the snow, loose for hours. the neighborhood gang beat the crap outta her evreychance they got... it was a bad situation when i got her she was pathetic!!!
