Q: Tampons

Whenever I attempt to use tampons I experience a burning sensation after insertion that becomes so uncomfortable I find myself unable to wear them. Has anyone else had this problem or know what might be causing it?

Are you using deodorant tampons? You may be allergic to the fragrance in them!?!?!?!?!?

When I first started using tampons I didn't put them in far enough and when I moved around I guess you could say it kinda burned. Maybe you should try a slim kind and push it in as far as it goes but don't hit the back or yourself because that might hurt.

Is sex painful too? You could have vulvyadoniya (spelling very likely wrong) if so - see your doctor, if not then like the other girls said, don't use fragranced ones, or use lighter ones, they can become uncomfortable if you are using say a super one on a day with you should be using a light one.
Best of luck to you

I would make sure that you are inserting it far enough. And like the other girls said, don't use fragrance ones. Even if you are not allergic to the fragrance, it still can cause infections.

Since you mentioned if sex hurt for her, once I had sex before my period and it really hurt. This was the last time I had sex. Do you think it was because I have something or could it have been because I was about to start my period?
