Miscarriage Two In a Row?
Posted: 04-04-04 08:54am

I was about 10wks pregnant when I had a miscarriage in the emergency room on thursday 4/1/04 around 10:30 p.M. I felt contractions and bled a lot, and passed a lot of clots. The doctor said that my uterus was empty and I left the hospital at 2 a.M. This morning saturday 4/3/04 I woke up out of my sleep at 4:30 a.M. And I experienced major contractions and I pushed with my pelvic muscles, and this went on for 1 1/2 hrs. I urinated on myself(in a pad) and bled very little. My back hurt, cramps started from my pelvic floor and inside my belly. Is this normal? I mean I supposedly lost the baby already on thursday night, so I was wondering why was it as if I gave birth?
I already have a little girl, but during my pregnancy with her I had an epidural and was told when to push. I know that what happened to me this morning was my body pushing!!!
Oh yeah, I fell down the stairs about 3 weeks earlier and I think this is what caused my miscarriage. The er dr said that my baby was in a "fetal demise". They couldn't determine how far along I was. I just remember my last period being on january 27, 2004. If anyone can help me out i'd appreciate it. Thanks for your time.

I really doubt that you miscarried two in a row. What I think might have happened is that your uterus contracted to make itself smaller like it was before you were pregnant. I think I would have called the doctor about the incident. I myself have had 9 miscarriages so I feel for your loss, but once you have completly lossed the baby you can't lose it again, unless it was a twin pregnancy which they should have been able to tell in the er. I hope I have eased your mine some and have helped you out. If you still question the incedint I would call the doctor.
