Dialation At 38 Weeks - how much can cervix dialate ?
Posted: 10-28-07 21:59pm

I'm 38 weeks and four days, and my cervix dialates more and more every appointment I go to, but I wanted to know how much will your doctor let you dialate before they keep you in the hospital? I am currently 3 1/2 centimeter dialated and still having mild contractions. Can someone tell me from past experience?

I think it's 4 or 5, but I don't think they'll keep you if you're not having steady contractions. I'm really not sure though.

Thanks. I thought so, but i think my muscus plug just fell out as well. I talked to me sister and she told me to talk to my doctor at my next appointment in two days.

4cm is what my hospital is telling me i have to be at before they will keep me and also that is how far along i have to be to recieve and epidural. im 33 weeks along and just having my discharge, backaches and braxston hicks, so far so good.
