Is there ANYTHING to do to get rid of dog hair? I mean I have two small dogs (one black one grey) and my black dog sheds like CRAZY Twisted Evil and his hair gets on everything. I just dont want my baby stuff covered in dog hair, is there anything I can do? Im pretty desperate (minus getting rid of them lol) Thanks girls

Wax them. Kidding.

If you mix a little bit of canola oil in your dogs' food it should help reduce shedding. We did this with my yellow lab and it worked wonders! Good luck Smile

we have like, literally, 10 lint rollers around the house becuase our two dogs and cat SHED like crazy.

But one good thing u can do, is bathe them, then groom them really well with a wire-haired grooming brush. If u do that twice a week, u will notice a LOT less hair.

We use lint rollers like Sandy said, & sometimes to get the hair of the couch I just wet a washcloth & wipe it down that way. I've never heard of using canola oil, that doesn't make them have diahrea (sp) though?

Keep up on general cleaning, and vacuum lots! I've got 2 dogs also, and I wish they were they came with the no shed option.

Nope, no diarrhea. We did it for a couple of years. He had solid poops. The vet recommended it to us and we tried it. It was great. And it made his coat shiny.

You're bound to get a hair or 2 on them when they start to crawl and play on the floor. But the more you keep up on dog hair removal, the less you'll have to worry about it. I've been tempted to shave my dogs Shocked

be careful witht this
your dogs are much smaller than a lab so you wouldnt want to give them something that could cause them to get sick

get better dog food or get a supplement for their skin. i forget what it's called. i'll look through zandi and vlad's things later to see if i still have the bottle. the better their nutrition the less they shed. but since i had two amstaffs (pits) i really didn't have to worry about too much shedding. Laughing

Ya, I've heard of fish oil (cod liver oil) and also I have heard of putting a little bit of bacon grease in their food.

I was talking to Shane about the canola oil lastnight & he said he thinks even something like the oil in the tuna fish cans does the same thing? Is that true?

I'm guessing that anything oily would probably do, but as along as they are healthy oils. I wonder if you can use the same on a cat because my dog doesn't shed to much but my cat is another story....
