I would suggest going to your local bookstore and picking up a wedding planner journal. That was really helpful to keep me organized with venders, guest list, etc. Also another thing is theknot.com. That website literally saved my life when I was planning our wedding. They guide you month by month or week by week until your wedding day. It gives you a checklist of everything and more of what you can do for your wedding. It gives great ideas.

Man, I just sounded like an ad for theknot.com. Didn't mean to do that, but really, they are helpful. Check that site out.

I also grabbed some wedding magazines and browsed through them to get ideas.

PM me if you have any questions...I am right now helping two of my friends plan their weddings. I LOVE WEDDINGS!!!!

Our was all home grown. Everyone played a part. First, see who's willing to help you and then assign them duties. You can save lots of money that way, too. You can pass this off to people and explain EXACTLY how you want it done. Some particulars:

SINGERS for the ceremony
FLOWERS
DECORATIONS
INVITATIONS

Or get a group of your best girlfriends to help...our wedding was great b/c so many people helped!

1. Decorations
2. Outfits
3. Invitations
4. Singers for the ceremony
5. Flowers
6. Honeymoon for after
7. Best man and women

and so many more

I know this weekend I'm going to buy a wedding planner because there are somethings I'm sure of. What would be nice colors for a fall wedding? I also want a champagne colored dress not white. Would that be an okay color?

Champagne sounds wonderful!

I was wed in cream linen and wore a white veil. It didn't clash and added a bit of tradition. Our fall colors were red, orange, and yellow. We were also tropical, so of course we had some green. But the colors were present in our invitations, my bouquet, at the altar, and as centrepieces. Just remember: your wedding reflects you and your tastes ... and it will be perfect if you say so!!!

Here's a picture of how I want my wedding. I'm sure it will not be exact but as far as colors these are the colors I want. Lemme know what you think! Of course I want a flower girl and a ring bearer but I didn't have enough space to put them in.

That is GORGEOUS. I love the mixture of colors. I had chocolate in my wedding as well. Smile

I love reneeisorym's pics too. I'll post some of my wedding!

I had chocolate and pink. But omg, if I had a fall wedding, it definitely would have been chocolate and a pumpkin color.
