Q: Hard And Very Painful Varicose Veins

Good day

Looking for answers on this issue. I have had varicose veins all my life. Had surgery on both legs at 18 years old, and they have been growing again ever since.
Lately, last three to four weeks, I have noticed vey hard spots on the veins in the left calf muscle ands ankle. Extreme pain result when touching anything or even just standing. I have spent many nights in tears. What would these hard spots be? I realize that this is vascular related, therefor very concerned about my well being. I don't totally understand the process of varicose veins yet, but am still doing research on it. Since skin ulcers are often caused by this medical state, along with other issues, I would very much appreciate any insight yo may have......

Good day
Now I am really confused!
Seen the doc, passed an ultrasound and found nothing but inflamation. Off work for 4 days and told all will be good after. Not so. Still have the same symptoms, hardness, pain, swelling, difficulty walking. So makes me question the doc's diagnostics. Any insight?
