I mean like normal food, juice, milk etc? Just wondering, Jordynnes been sick today she seems better though, but shes been keepin down gatorade and normal food, and everytime she has formula she seems to throw up. So i dunno if maybe i can just switch her to normal food etc. The wic lady here put juice on her wic checks with formula now and made sure to add that by 1 they need to be off formula completely. Today she had about 4oz of formula this morning with no problem. I made her lunch, just some chicken noodle soup and cheerios and some gatorade. So far so good. I just dunno if there are drawbacks to taking her off of formula at 10mths old. I mean i still have alot of formula too but i just thought maybe trying normal food and stuff to see how she does.

Maybe she was throwing up the formula only because she was sick. I myself would keep her on the formula until she is 1 but you can start giving her our food. Both my kids started eating the same food as me when they were about that age. They didn't want to eat baby food anymore.

yea, she has a bottle of formula at naptime and bedtime. Im trying to get her to eat normal food between them. I just thought it strange that she was keeping down everything else but formula while she has been sick. So far today though she hasnt gotten sick, she was throwing up since thursday night. But was able to drink pedialyte and gatorade when i ran out of pedialyte.

Yeah I definitely think that the formula was too much for here because she was sick. Whenever my kids have the flu I always cut them off any dairy products. It's too hard on their little tummies. The pedialyte and gatorade are great because they keep their electrolytes up which keeps them from getting dehydrated.

Glad to hear that she is feeling better.....it's tough when our babies are sick Sad

I don't think so. Chu was eating real food by then. Just mash/cut it up really well. I don't know about the milk though, different countries have different guidelines.

yeah, well here they just told me at the wic office that she has to be completely off formula by 1, but also here they started putting juice on hers and they never did that in the states for joseph until he was 1, so theres is strange, i mean the wic office is on base htough so its not like its a german person running it, an american woman is the one that works there. So i dunno what. I think every wic office should run the same. Also the other day i went ot the commisary and i grabbed the wic check i thought had juic eon it but it didnt so i was gonna put the jiuce back and i told the lady but she was like no ill just put it on one of the formula checks, so now i sorta got 3 extra things of juice this month since she just scanned em on with the formula that didnt have any juice listed.

Our wic office has given juice to brayden since he was like three months, but there was no way I'd give it to him that young so we have just stocked up on the stuff.

Brayden was sick this past week and when I called his dr. she said to give him only pedialyte for 24 hours and then slowly work things in. So that they don't get dehydrated and such. When I asked her about juice she gave me a lecture not to give him juice, formula, or sports drinks.. So maybe just lay off the formula for a bit until her tummy feels better!!

As for food, if she'll eat it I don't see what the problem would be!
