Q: Shakes And Headaches - Hypoglycemia

My friend doesn't seem too healthy lately. He says he keeps getting bad headaches, along with what he describes as low blood sugar even a couple of hours after food.

Basically:
-Digestive system problems (too regular, I gather)
-Headaches
-Exhaustion
-Inability to visually focus
-Shivering/shaking (almost feeling like seizures) "not the cold kind"
-Weakness in limbs: sometimes feels like he can't even walk, or might collapse.
-"Feel like my stomach is gonna die", "Almost anxiety, but different"

In the past he's complained about joint pain, even tendon swelling once, which seemed along the lines of arthritis. He's taking prescription ibuprofen right now for that and back pain which he thinks is to do with his bed (he sleeps in a dorm at college)

So I wonder if anyone has some idea what this might be? A friend who's a nurse says it might be Hypoglycemia, but I need someone to help me convince my friend to see a doctor sooner, 'cause I'm worried. =/

Have him go to the campus clinic at least!

Is he stressed a lot? I gather you're in college. If he's stressing over school it can also create quite a few of these symptoms too. Is he sleeping enough? Is he eating enough?

Haha. Yes, college. Good idea, I'll tell him when he quits lashing out at me and being mean. n_n

I think his sleeping pattern is being affected by those health complaints. In the past he had joint pain while working at a carwash (it was winter, and wet), I thought he suffered from tendinitis but he's been on Ibuprofen for a while I believe.

He's stressed at times, yes. It's kinda self-inflicted, like he overthinks everything. When he's stressed he says he can't eat or drink, it makes him feel sick. In the past he's suffered depression, so I'm wondering if it's physical or psychological problems causing these issues. =/

Oh, and I think his dad suffers from anxiety as well as a condition (forget the name) but it makes it so he can't feel full. I think the family in general are overweight, but my friend tries to control his. This can't be helping. D:

These are just all symptoms either I've had or heard my friends having. Sometimes college just sucks...

I'm not particularly sure about anxiety conditions or anything, but I think if he tried to get more sleep a lot of these things would go away. Productive studying doesn't really happen when you are tired and stressed out anyways. If it's really bad and he can't find a way to releive the stress on his own then he should really see a doctor.
