Has anyone seen the trailer for "Raw For 30 Days"? It's a documentary about six people, with diabetes as they attempt to reverse their diabetes through eating only raw food.

The trailer on Youtube at:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSuqCMld00w

What does everyone think of this idea? Is it someone anyone here has tried before? I'm just getting into this whole raw food thing and I'd love to get some advice. Most people in my family eventually develop diabetes and I’d like to prevent myself of doing the same. Does eating an all raw diet work?

The homepage for this film is:

reversing diabetes
I live in UK and recently saw this trailer two days ago. 3rd July 08.
Giving the body a thorough and holistic detox does wonders. Gabriel Cousens approach gives the Body, Mind and Soul a detox.
For years we get told "diabetic medicine for life" but within days of program people are totally coming off medication.
When last did the majority population of USA and UK eat like God/nature intended?
Most diabetics are eating in a way that needs constant medication! Even though it may be lowered due to weightloss/increase exercise etc.
To break vicious circle eliminating that root cause for that individual is key.
Who in the past has become super healthy going on a meat only fast or rice only fast.
Super rich foods such as kale, broccoli, spinach is almost non existant in the average type 2 diabetes diet...even with metformin.
So when all processed foods is eliminated and replaced with organic live raw foods for 1 month...as it takes 21 days to more or less detox...the insulin resistent substance from cells dries up and no more medicine is needed...resulting in diabetes being reversed.
When the blood sugar readings can be at 4.6 naturally for 3 weeks with no medication is the reason why diabetes is being reversed.
Other Dr's such as Barnard, Fuhrman and Lindberg get the same results but in longer time from what i gather from trailers and with slightly different approach.

Raw food and diabetes
I did green juice and raw food for two months. I lost 30 pounds and went off my injected insulin as well as oral medication (I'm type 2).

It really helped me a lot.

raw and diabetes
I started a forum just for people with diabetes who are trying to get more raw in their diet.

You can see what others are doing to try to get more raw food into their diet. Too much to include here.

I did have it in my last post. The moderators here took it out and sent me an email saying they felt it was advertisement and wouldn't allow it.

Google bjaysblog Smile if they allow this sentence through.

wow
Is this true? If it is, awesome! There are plenty of foods for diabetics that can lower it, but I had no idea it could be reversed too! Awesome!
