Breizzy.
I found this:
1. An event that appears inexplicable by
the laws of nature and so is held to be
supernatural in origin or an act of God:
“Miracles are spontaneous, they cannot
be summoned, but come of themselves”
(Katherine Anne Porter).
2. One that excites admiring awe. See
synonyms at wonder.
3. A miracle play.
I'm thinkin' conception just ain't one of
'em. |

i agree with Futureshock.
And Breizzy... you mourn the fact that you
have your period, which means you arent
pregnant, and means another month of TTC.
NOT becuase you are thinking to yourself.
*That might have been a viable baby and my
body rejected it! How sad!*
A baby isnt considered stillborn til i
*believe* after 19 weeks.. prior to that
it is till a miscarriage. I can understand
where you are coming from though. With a
heartbeat, its still a baby. But its hard
to become attached to something in a
months time. Try having a stillborn baby
at 20 weeks, or 28 weeks.. after you have
felt the baby ALIVE inside of you..
kicking, moving.. believe it or not,
hiccups. THEN it becomes far more
personal. |
I know about miscarrying late... try 24
weeks... born alive.. gasping for
air....She died before help c ould ge
there.. and then having to deliver the
little boy........ or having contractions
that they couldnt stop.... and delivering
at 26.. baby lived for 2 hours and then
passed away. The stupid hospital believed
in (back then) ... they didnt want to
interfere.. cuz if the baby would live it
was "god's plan" ... it was a very strict
catholic hopsital.. now tho, they have a
great neonatal unit.. Way too late.
And as for the miracle comment... I
believe (my opinion) that when you get
pregnant... it is a miracle. The baby is a
miracle. I have been trying to concieve a
healthy baby since my youngest one was
born. He turned 4 just this past summer.
People who have been TTC for a long
time... then all of a sudden fall pregnant
then to them.. it is a miracle. They
could have the perfect timing every
month.. and nothing happens... and then
all of a sudden it happens..after years of
ttc. ANyone who have experienced
infertility would see it that way too.
So i really dont care what anyone says..
getting pregnant to me is a miracle and to
a whole bunch other people on one of my
boards. ... people trying for even longer
than me.
So technically they could be considered
a miracle.. cuz they are 'spontaneous' and
not summoned.... they come of
themselves.....
The window israther slim if youthink about
it. only 24 hours... little sperm have to
swim through hostile environment... and
the hormones have to be just right... for
them to 'stick'... even IUI..,IVF is no
guarantee to a baby.

I understand that to some women it is, I
was simply stating that it isn't for every
woman.

I understand that to some women it is, I
was simply stating that it isn't for every

Which is exactly why the control of a
woman's body must remain with each
individual woman, because everyone and
every situation is different.
Pro-lifers (people seeking to make
abortion illegal) must be stopped in their
tracks before they devalue all women by
taking away their rights to control their
own lives.
