Vomit and Parmesan cheese (actually
anything dairy) both contain butyric acid.
It's the chemical that gives vomit it's
distinctive smell and it's also what gives
flavor (and odor) to Parmesan cheese.
Don't forget that Parmesano Reggiano is
milk that's curdled with extract of
stomach, that's got to add some vomit
smell/taste also.
