Is there a way to prevent boners ?

Random erections don't happen to older teens as much as they do young teens, so I don't think you have anything to worry about.

They are just jealous..............be proud son. Go on and wrestle and if it happens...just smile like you meant for it to happen! Its a natural thing, now where wrestling come in and you catch a "stiffy" gets me, but you can't let others get under your skin.........who gives a rats ass what others say.....and you should not be embarrassed.......be proud! I agree, when you were in fifth grade your hormones were crazy. How old are you now? You might be past the random boner stage, and you will be safe now.

I'm in the eight grade now, so am I past that stage, I still seem to get random boners.

I just think I'm going to do wrestling though, I can't be scared to do things just because of something that happened in the past.

Okay. I assume that you wear a padded jock strap when you wrestle. If not, you should. The padding makes your groin look large to begin with, so nobody knows whether or not you have a boner, if you do get one, unless it sticks out the top. To avoid that problem put your penis in a downward position inside the jock strap when you put it on. Then, if you happen to get a boner it will press against the jock strap and not show. It will be incomfortable, however, but which is worse - huge embarrassment or some slight discomfort?

What do you mean by "padded jock strap"? Do you mean a soft-cup supporter?

I think that if a guy is worried about getting a boner when he plays sports, he should wear a hard-cup supporter and wear tight-fitting athletic compression shorts over his hard-cup-supporter. That would hold the cup real tight against his body, even tighter than just wearing the cup in the cup-jockstrap. If the cup fits reals tight, that will confine the penis and make it less likely to get "boner". However, if the guy still gets a boner, then his penis will only stick outside of the hard-cup a short ways. I think a triangular-shaped cup should be worn. I think that the banana-shaped cup could hurt a guy if the guy got a boner while wearing it. If a guy's penis becomes erect it needs to be able to extend out of the cup and I don't think that is possible with the banana cups. I do not think that you should want to force an erecting penis to stay inside a cup because that would be real painful and probably not very good for the penis. I think that a triangular-shaped cup with good foam padding on it works the best. When you put the cup on, lift your penis up and place your soft penis inside the top part of the cup. Then put on tight-fitting compression shorts or tight-fitting nylon/spandex briefs. If you still get a boner while you are playing sports, at least the cup will hide most of it and it will not hurt your penis so much if it extends some out of the padded cup. I've seen many youths and guys when they are up they have an erection. i wish they wouldnt make singlets like this.

i was wondering , i bought a speedsuit for running on the track. but when i put this suit on me, i get a boner , and my friend think its funny. so i dont wear the suit anymore. but its just like if the material of the suit makes me get this problem. i like the suit, but not that way. the boner comes and goes, i have no control over it. any sugguestions. thanks for the help.

The same here, I get them all the time, is a hot girl is around there I go, and lately if a hot guy is around sometimes I get a boner, I dont think I am gay but I do think I love the beutiful things in life. I get them all the time and several times a day, no way to correct that.

Don't let those other boys get you down dude - at puberty you haven't got much control over what your penis does. I suggest that if it happens again try to get your penis lay flat upwards and it won't be so visible. I'd seem a shame to give up a sport you really enjoy for the sake of a few immature kids.
I didn't have too much of a problem with boners at school. I started going through puberty around 13-14 years old and I remember between 14-16 I had one or two unwanted erections in school classes. I do remember when I was 15 and taking a naked shower after a P.E. squash lesson. I had a partial erection but just got on with showering and no-one commented or took any notice. I just tried to focus on something boring or mundane and it seemed to do the trick. David

Sooner or later you will have to control it, I'm 20 years old and I still get bonners, but there is only 2 ways you can control it,
1. Think of something you dislike or make you sad " will get you mind off your penus"
2. Have sex once a week " this will stop the bonners when u see a sexy girl ext... Note, roomers say that if u have sex, you will never have a random bonner, that's false, after a week you will start getting erections"
Now to hid a bonner, put your penus upwards where your waist is and put a belt on, other an that, good luck

I'm sixteen a sophmore in high school and when I lay and cuddle with my girlfriend I seem to get random erections and I really don't know what to do. She doesn't want to have sex and I don't want to push her to either. Any sugestions?

Ok she doesn't wanna have sex that ok but having a boner doesn't mean that you have to have sex, she should know that this is normal for any guy especially with teenagers, and plus your girlfriend should take it as a complement, having a boner shows that you think she's sexy.
FYI teenaged girls are a lot more sexual active the boys but they can hide it.
