Q: What a Let Down...

i just got a message from my brother saying they won't need me to watch their baby once a week after all. we'd been talking about this for months before she was even born and i was getting really excited about having her and letting finn get to know his cousin. he said they'd been talking about things since i'd announced i was pregnant and decided it wasn't a good idea anymore.

i'm actually pretty upset about this.

Man thats sucks. I would be upset about it also. Like you wouldn't be able to handle it. THats kinda a touchy subject, it would be weird to ask him to reconsider...at least it would be for me.

Im sorry your brother is doing this to you.

well, i was so upset (mad/sad) when i wrote that i forgot to put the 2 things that bugged me most.

first, she took care of her sister's baby while she was pregnant.

second, he said the baby will be going to another day of daycare instead. so it's sad that they think she's better off in daycare rather than spending the day with me and finn.

Sad

Yeah that would make me mad...

Why would you want to send your kid to a daycare when you have family around.

I personally am looking forward to when we have kids...My sil is a stay at home mom and she would love it if I asked her to watch my child during the day while I was at work...

The nerve...

Soooo do you think it is all her, or do you think your brother had a say in it???

I am such an instigator...sorry!!!

I'm sorry B! I remember you talking a while back about how excited you were to be watching the baby. Maybe if you talk with him, they'll reconsider!

B talk to him!! Arent u guys really close? He'll probably want u to tell him how u feel. Maybe he thinks that being prego and having Finn being so young will be too much with another young one around.

If u tell him u are ok with it he may change his mind. Hes prolly just trying to look out for u.

no, it's my younger brother that i'm really close to. i get along with my older brother really well, but we're not all that close. that would be his wife's fault, but don't get me started on that.

maybe i'll mention it to him, maybe i won't.

I'm sorry, B! I'd be super pissed, but if you tell him that you want finn to be close to his cousin maybe he'll reconsider... Confused

Didnt you ask him why? Like how you being pregnant made them change their mind. She'd be so better off with you than in a daycare. (Im against daycares - no offence to anyone)
