Q: I Need Help Figuring Out a Dream

Ok, so this is one of the weirder ones.

I had a dream that I was brushing my teeth. Then I felt something in my toothbrush. Whem I looked at the toothbrush, it looked like there was a roach between the brissles *shiver with grossness* But, when I go to take it out of the toothbruch it is actually a turtle. Neutral Somehow, the turtle is now getting larger. It turns into a dog somehow. There was a lot of other stuff going on. But this part really sticks out in my head.

So, anyone care to pick apart my dream and tell me what it means?

thanks!

This is what I found on a dream dictionary

Turtle
Dreaming of a turtle suggests that you need to take some chances in order to get ahead in life. The opportunities for advancement are opened to you, but you need to take the next step.

Brushing Your Teeth
To brush your teeth, foretells that some great struggle will be demanded of you in order to preserve your fortune. If you see a friend brushing their teeth, it may be a warning that your friend has been talking against you. Or, you might be feeling paranoid about how good a friend they really are to you.

Dog
Pay attention to dreams about dogs, as they often bring important messages. Dog dreams that are positive mean that the dreamer is lucky in friendship. A threatening dog signifies discomfort with large social groups. Also see "Barking", "Puppy" and "Rabies"

Thanks!! I hate having filters. It makes everything so much more difficult.

So, that is kinda weird. I'm choosing to think it has to do with my calling to schedule my doctors appt yesterday with the RE. It fits. I'm sure it could mean anything though.

do you guys ever have dreams where you know you're dreaming but you can't wake up? I get those a lot. I'll be dreaming something bad (usually happens in nightmares) and I'll know I'm dreaming so I'll try to either change the dream or wake up but I can't. I hate that.

If the dream is really bad, I can usually wake myself up from it. I have had dreams before where I am paralized. Like I had a dream that I was driving, but I was sleeping with the drivers seat layed down. I couldn't move even though I was awake, my body was asleep. I also had a dream that I was at a house that I used to babysit and I had fallen on their deck and I couldn't move. I tried so hard in my dream to move but couldn't. I eventually woke myself up from the dream.
I also have dreams that I know Im dreaming and something bad happens, but in the dream Im like"its just a dream it will go away" so I don't worry about it.

It's crazy because in the ones where I know I'm dreaming and I can't change it I get super stressed. Probably just a parallel of real life because in real life I get super stressed when I can't change things. I guess my dreams are trying to help me take that to heart. Laughing

I always used to have dreams about Bill, it'd happen for like 2 weeks at a time and it was always the same dream, he'd be chasing me around my old neighborhood and I couldn't ever run fast enough, it was like slow motion. Even now I still have those dreams, it's scary.

I have a lot of those slow motion dreams. I'm normally fighting though. It's like I'm trying to hit, but it is in slow motion and without much force (kinda like being under water) But, the other person is just hitting fast and hard. I wake up so frustrated!

Christy, I have had those kind of dreams where I am trying really hard to punch something and my arm just doesn't move, or it moves really slow.

A lot of my dreams have me running away from somebody screaming for help, but I have no voice for some reason.

I've never had a turtle in my toothbrush dream though. Shocked

I've actually spoken to someone about them before. It is supposed to be because we fell that we have little control over an issue in our life. Or that we are trying and feeling as though we are not being heard on an issue that is important.

I'm glad to see I'm not alone though. It seems like alot of us have these dreams.
