my husband and i are coming of a cobra policy. he has medicare primary due to disability. his medicare became primary in the middle of the cobra coverage period. now they are saying we can do a conversion policy but the insurance company is saying no because my husband has medicare primary. he is to young for medicare supplement policy but we need a second insurance policy to help pay the 20% that medicare doesn't cover. he is on dialysis and up for a kidney transplant, so that 20% would in the future be financial ruin for us. does any one have any suggestions of what type of policies are out there to help with the 20% co pay of medicare.
