Q: Giving Up

I realised I am getting way to obsessed with TTC and it's only my first month! I decided I'm going to take a test on Saturday morning to make sure I am not (it's my best friends wedding and I may be drinking on the evening)

I'm just going to keep BDing with OH in December and I'm not going to track, test or anything

I honestly believe that it happens when your least expecting it. I have been pregnant 3 times, the first time was a total shock, the second I was trying and it took like 7 months and the 3rd time I had just gotten off birth control so I was going to wait a few cycles before I started trying but surprise I got pregnant the first month.

Even on here you see so many women charting and temping like crazy and it takes forever for them to conceive and yet you get girl's that aren't trying and don't even want to be pregnant that get pregnant so easily. It really isn't fair Sad

Yep. Sad

However, temping is a very usefull tool. It will show my doctors that it isn't bad timing, I'm not ovulating (that is a pretty big problem) but, without my temping, the doctors would probably believe that it was a timing issue and dismiss me. So, I still highly suggest temping.

Many women temp and aren't ttc. It is truely the only way to know what is (or isn't) going on. However, you haven't had any problems in the past. While this doesn't mean you won't have any problems this time, it means that you know you are capable of conceiving.

I'm not really sure. I have a lot of indicators that I did either Monday or Tuesday. But my temp hasn't really shown it yet. So, I'm 'cautiously optimistic'. I really really hope so. I would love an anniversary baby. (so would dh)

I just want a baby period...I don't care when it happens...

Charting is a useful tool, but trying not to think about it and not really trying isn't as easy as it sounds. I tried to forget about everything last month and it didn't do me any good.

beckster--It is REALLY easy to get obsessed with TTC. I am sure that because by the time you start trying you are ready to have one right then. My dh and I tried for 7 months before I got a bfp.... not to discourage you Confused But it might take a while. After a while of getting neg tests back you will start to stess a bit. Just try to relax and have fun....it will happen. Good luck and tons of baby dust ~~~
