Is you actual balance shifting or are thinking is is in you mind. Do you actually loose you balance when this happens? Just curious.

Ok
In that case, first thing I would start off with is seeing a neurologist and telling him your symptoms. I am willing to bet he will do an EEG on you to see what your brain waves are doing and go from there. Almost sound like you brain is sending you messages that cause this feeling. I may be wrong, just a hunch. As long as you are not on any illegal drugs or anything (which you sound pretty smart) I would see a neurologist for this. Personally, I have not heard of anxiety doing this. Not that it is not possible. I am a over 4 year veteran to anxiety, panic and depression and that has never happend to me. I am off balance due to my MS. Let me know how you fair out OK.
Question: Are you taking any medications? If so what are you taking? Some can have some pretty crazy side effects. If so, did you feel this way before or after you started taking any of those medications.

Anyone else here experiencing these sytoms?

I Am Having the Same Feeling
I am having the same feeling as jason101. Describes my symptoms down to a tea!!!I have seen a Neurologist and had the following tests done EEG, MRI, CT Scan, Chest X-ray and everything came back clear. I don't know what to do, they sent me to a physiotherapist for vestibular dysfunction and everything improved through my exercises but I stopped doing them and this feeling has come back in the last two - three weeks getting worse. I don't loose balance or anything like that. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm guessing they looked at your ears... if not, make sure someone does.

But otherwise, do you feel emotionally disconnected at this time? Like you don't feel sensations as strongly and it takes you a while to react (like you're slightly drunk)?

I will just say you should see a doctor and find out from him/her where the problem is coming from. Not going to get anywhere just playing guessing games. Would be good to get to the bottom of it and ease you mind.

Thanks For Replies
Hey guys, thanks for the reply. I was actually at the doctor today and he read out the letter he received from the Neurologist and they said I have tinnitis and a problem with my Labyrinth (They think). I have seen a specialist about my ear but they said I don't have any specified disease of the Ear like menieres and that I might have to put up with this problem for the rest of my life. Apparently the fluid and hairs that control your balance is extremely complicated and its extremely difficult to nail down the problem. There doesn't seem to be a pattern with it at all. Yesterday I was fine and today I have the same feeling back again.

In response to Georgia59 I don't feel emotionally disconnected just a bit anxious with worry but other than that I feel fantastic. I broke my personnel best in an 8km race two weeks ago, so I feel great except for the feeling I get some days when I am walking!!!! Its doing my head in!!! Literally!!! Geargia59 why did you ask do I feel emotionally disconnected?

Thanks for your replies guys, appreciate it.

Phil

Hey I'm glad you got it figured out. I asked about the emotional thing because that would be a psychological symptom- but it doesn't seem that that's your problem. Hope it gets better for you, or you can find a way to deal with it!
