Unkown Skin Disorder...

Hey, names mark and I was curious to see if anyone has any information on what my skin condition could be. i've been to my doctor and he didn't know what it was and couldn't really give me and information. He was a childs doctor so it was expected that he probably wouldn't. let me give you a little information about myself to see if that will help some.

First off, im 18 now. I've noticed this issue when i was around 12. I remember when i was younger maybe 5 or 6 years old i would be out at the beach with my shirt off and my back would always get really itchy. i'm not sure if it was from the sun or from the wind or something, but it felt like the kind of itchy you would get from laying in the grass with your shirt off. Anyways im starting to get self concious about myself alittle because im getting into the competion of body building and im stuck with this stinkin skin problem. So let me describe what its like.

It pretty much covers my chest from the bottom of my stomache area to almost my neck, its on my sides of my chest also. My back from what i can see is covered. From what i can feel my lower back is alright. My shoulders i believe is the worst. There also kind of on my bicep and tricep area but not all the way down by my elbow.

Now what it exactly is...
On my stomache area there like little red dots right now they don't feel raised but sometimes they kind of have a little break out or irritation maybe.
on my chest there a bit different skin is still pretty smooth but they are raised but with what it seems could be little white heads.
My shoulders, more of my delts than anything are like little red bumps probably about the size of the tip of a pen. there all about that size but there are more in one area on my shoulders. i would say with in a square inch there are possibly 100 little bumps.

other than that i really dont know how else to discribe them. oh and one thing i have noticed since i do workout pretty hard is that i dont sweat a lot, only in a few spots like my mid back which i think is ok. I sometimes think its from not sweating cause after i do my work out or other things to you know get a sweat going i get smooth skin. or if i were to be out in the sun, or even go tanning for example ( ive only tried two tiems to see if it would help my skin) the bumps would actually be easier to see.

Also if you want i can send a pic or 2 if that would help

Thanks,
Mark

hi

The first step in treating psoriasis is to use natural psoriasis medications. natural medications are creams, salves and ointments which have ingredients in them designed to soften the psoriasis plaques, thin them out, and in some cases slow down the skin growth response.

cheers

Sounds like you have a skin condition called keratosis pilaris, which is fairly common and more so in people with sensitive skin. Try a skin cream or lotion with 20% urea once or twice a day. This condition can be improved but not cured, it´s a type of skin, like having brown eyes. Genetically determined.
Good luck, and let me know.
