This is the first time I am talking about this, because I don't feel comfortable talking with any friends or family and would like to keep this issue private from them.

When I get a full erection, my penis is pointing upward at maybe a 45 degree angle. The problem is, my erection cannot go downward even if I physically try to aim it that way. It hurts if I try to force it downward. The most I can make it go is about straight out. I never knew I even had a problem until I saw pornographic videos and I noticed that I couldn't have sex in some of these positions even of I tried.

It has been bugging me for the past 3 years now, and I am still a virgin because I am afraid of not being able to perform because of this problem. I don't think I have Peyronie's disease, but I could be completely wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you crazy? The penis is supposed to point up! Never ever use porn to tell you how sex is supposed to work.

You have a 100% normal penis. Now go slap on a condom and have sex already!!!

I know it is supposed to point up, but I still think it should be more flexible than it is.

if it points up this is a good thing! from a female perspective it is really really hot when a guy is so hard he points up like that. it is the sign of a strong erection. please dont worry about it!! a penis that points upward isnt going to give any problems in most common sex positions.

Nah! It is also supposed to be hard. Most guys can't push their penis down. Trust me, you have an ideal penis! Hard and pointing up!

Don't feel bad about this at all! That's how a penis is ideally! Silly boys and all their worries Wink

Relax. Very Happy Women are pretty accepting creatures, especially when they care about you. You could have a penis that pointed around a freaking corner and the woman that loved you would still find a way work with it. Don't sweat the small things, or your first time might be full of insecurities and stresses instead of love and excitement.

Even if you are worried about your perfectly normal penis, as you age, it becomes less rigid and will most likely start pointing down more. Unfortunately, a slight drop in erected size will happen as well.

Seriously, 45 degrees is actually the ideal angle. Do not use pornography as a guide. Most of the positions that they use would hurt the girl anyways.

I'm still not convinced that everything is ok, but I don't know what to do about. For example, think of an arm on a pair of reading glasses, and how it can move because of the hinge. it hardly moves.

Why would you want it to move? It's not supposed to...

Yeah, that doesn't sound like a problem or anything. Peyronie's disease would seem to suggest that it is notably curved sideways and may cause pain during sexual activity. Either way, a 45-degree angled erection shouldn't cause any problems during intercourse. If flexibility is that much of a problem you can revert the sexual position slightly in order to be more comfortable.

Most guys would be jealous of your erection.I have an 8"penis that clings to my stomach with a slight curve when erect and i haven't had any negative comments from anyone.I used to get teased in gym class during showers though.I was a yr older than the others and taller than most of them.Ocassionally i would get erect in the shower and get stared at while i walked over to my locker to dry off.But then, word got around to some of the right girls and it was for the better.

deer park...

think of where a woman's vagina is. it is between her legs. in order for your penis to enter it PERFECTLY, your penis SHOULD be at about a 45 degree angle pointing upward.

you're good to go!

I agree with the replies. The erect penis should curve upward. The woman's vagina is at a 45 degree upward angle. Therefore if your penis curves upward you have a penis at the angle of her vagina. Your penis is at the correct angle for insertion into her vagina. I am 57 years old and I have been married for 33 years. My penis curves upward and my wife loves it !
