62 Days Since Last Period : sign of peri menipause ? Posted: 10-24-07 13:35pm
Hello all
I am almost 49 yrs old, always had regular
periods.... 6 to 7 days long like
clockwork... never any problems... just
this past 6 months I believe i am getting
hot flashes although for me a better term
would be " fast sweats" lol ...i do get
the instant heat come over me but then i
get all sweaty
I just got a period today , it has been 62
days from my last period... I feel fine
though no other symptoms or problems...
just wondering if missed periods is a sign
of peri menipause and is it normal?

Yes. This is a sign of peri-menopause. As
are the sweats and hot flashes.
It is normal. Are you still going to your
doctor once a year for paps?

Hi yes, I had a complete full physical a
year ago.... pap, breathing test, heart
test , blood work you name it I had it
.... lol
other than having to bring my cholesterol
down , every test was fine... I've been
doing pretty well, and it has only been
this last 8 months where I have been
getting the hot flashes, I have not had
any for a while now, about a month, and
when they come they don't last that long
.. maybe a min if that... but this is the
longest time i have went without a
period... i think even though we know we
are at the age of heading into menopause
we panic about not getting a period....
are there other symptoms i can expect
along this journey? the www is kind of
vague on peri menopause ....
