Ok, not the right topic to be posting under but anyways... Is colon/liver/kidney cleansing needed to stay healthy? I was reading about it awhile ago and besides being able to lose weight from this, its supposed to keep you healthy? And get rid of any parasites... And I was at the drug store the other day and saw a kit there, but I didn't buy it.. I thought I would wait and see what some of you guys' opinions were first.. (also im on bc, if I did this, would it eliminate the pill within my body?) Rolling Eyes

I've heard of celebrities getting colonics.... I've wanted to try it but I dont think I would ever get a kit from the drug store, I think i'd rather leave that up to the professionals... Dont want to damage anything

No no, it's just a bottle of pills that cleans you out.. Gets rid of all the fecal matter in your body (there can be up to 20lbs just sitting in there!!) plus gets rid of any parasites, and supposedly 88% of the worlds population has them (yuck).. I don't think its harmful to the body... I just wanna know if its necessary to keep me healthy!

I am really not sure. I had a colonoscopy (sp?) before when I was having stomach pains and I lost sixteen pounds. Gross, but amazing. I have never heard of the kits in drug stores, but hey if anyone does know please fill us in! If it works that well then I am all about it!

Well its not really a "kit" persay.. Its just 2 bottles of pills. One bottle is for first time users, (you take one pill b4 you eat I think) and it cleans your colon, liver and kidneys... And the second bottle is for "quarterly maintenance" so I guess every 4 months you do it.. I just thought that if I can lose that much weight in a matter of a few weeks why not try it! Only disadvantage I think would be having to run to the bathroom a lot Laughing

I'm not sure about this, but you know that miracle 10 lb in 2 days diet thingy thats like a juice? I think it's like the same thing...And the same thing as like the diet tea stuff. It just flushes out your system. I doubt a lot of those parasites are actually realy bad for you. I also think when there is something bad, we get like stomach viruses and stuff. This is just the way I see it, but it might be a good (i guess) way to lose some quick weight off your stomach.

I saw an episode of friend the other day, and the one guy (in his santa suit) went into this medical office of some sort and they stuck a big looong tube up his bum and started sucking out all the 'poop' that was stuck in there.. Haha, it was rather gross, but after he was done he said that he felt really good, now I don't know if you want to take a guy from friend' word, but I spose you would feel good after something like this was done to you.. I however would and probly will choose the pill method..Not that tube Confused

Hey cherry pie, yes colon cleansing is excellent for your health! I do one once a year and it's amazing how much better you will feel. I personally think the ones that have a tea and fiber work the best, I order mine, it's called internal sweep. It has a bottle of pills to kill parasites and then a tea you drink and night and a bottle of fiber that you mix with juice and drink in the morning. The fiber doesn't taste good but works very well, you do it for 2 months and no cheating. I actually had a parasite, I saw it. And it's very safe. So good luck!

I haven't actually done it yet, i've decided to wait until my school year is over because I made a deal with myself that when school was done I would go and lose a bunch of weight, and seeing as how I have grad coming up, and already have a dress ordered, I didn't wanna try it and possibly lose a significant amount and have my dress fall off of me. But when that time comes I will keep you posted!! Hah
