I am not sure if this is the right area to
post this question... However I need some
advice .. My DH is a wrestler (yeah like
wwe kinda stuff) anyway he had a match on
Sunday night and his opponent accidentally
landed right on his stomach, like full
body without supporting himself .. He
refuses to go to the dr. I am not even
sure what is hurt.. I can barely touch his
stomach and it pains him.. I have given up
trying to get him to the dr.. but don't
know what I can do to help.. any info is
greatly appreciated.

His rib area isn't swollen his stomach
kinda is.. I hate this .. the last show he
came home with a concussion and was busted
up.. but of course he won't see a dr. And
he is too big for me to carry I am really
worried.. but don't know what I can
actually do for him at home.

Men are very scared of going to the
doctor's or to the hospital. My birth
fahter never went to the doctor's and he
died this past Feb. from cancer because it
was to far along for them to do
anything. If he doesn't want to end up in
the hospital for weeks call the EMS.Hope
everything goes well Please keep us
posted.

This sounds like a serious stomach injury.
I'm a fan of pro-wrestling so I know what
you're talking about describing the type
of injury; and I agree with Girlfriend's
solution: Call 911. Your husband could
have internal abdominal bleeding,
especially due to the tenderness of the
area. I'm surprised the medical crew at
the ring let him go home without x-rays
and a check up after that kind of injury
:/

Unfortunately with him being on the indi
sceen this crew just ask them if they are
ok and if they can walk they leave. In
the last show a guy seriously injured his
knee and he drove himself home. It is
really unsafe when they don't have anyone
who can look at the wrestlers.. I have
seen so many injuries that should have had
help .. but that is how it works I
suppose. I know what I signed on for as
his wife but it is still hard to see him
like this.

Your right Eiri I just forgot to put that
in.I'm very suprised they let him go home
without getting it checked out.

No we argued about him going to the er and
he refuses.. I don't know whether to put
heat or ice on it since I don't know
exactly what is injured. I can understand
not wanting to go to the dr. and in his
mind since he can walk and talk, eat with
some pain meds then he is ok. I dunno.. I
am frustrated and worried.

Hey tell him you love him but you have
very worried about him and you don't want
to lose him to something like this..When
my hubby had a (kidney stone) before we
both knew he had it he was hurting for
hours before he FINALLY went to the ER and
know if he feels that kind of pain ever
again he says let's go to the ER.Because I
told him if you don't go on your own I'm
call 911 NO matter what you say.Good luck

If you call 911 they will come and I bet
he'll be pretty embarrassed if he doesn't
go, especially if you request when you
call for the EMTs to clearly explain
exactly how deadly his injury can be.
Hearing it from trained professionals
usually goes a long way for men; those
stubborn things!

He's an adult and has a right to decide
for himself, even if it's a bad decision.
I would probably get into a row about it,
but I wouldn't play any tricks.

I agree Birch.. unfortunately.. So we did
kinda row about it.. However, today he is
better I checked his stomach and he is
moving at almost 100% and can handle more
pressure on his stomach... so I am taking
that as a good sign. He is not fliching
and moaning about it hurting today and is
eating without grimmacing at the thought
of food on his stomach. Thank you ladies
for the advice.. always appreciated..
