Q: Help Pleaz, Termination Gone Wrong???

Please help someone. On the 1st oct I found out I was preg, i went straight to the doc for a termination( I have 3 kids already and had very bad pregs) on the 5th of oct I went to hospital and was told to come bk cos it cud be an eptopic, went bk on the 8th and found out I was 7wks preg, took the first tablet and went home. I started bleeding on the 9th of oct and was told I had most prob miscarried. on the 10th I went in for a scan and told it was on going still, i had the 2nd lot of tablets and within an hr told I had passed the preg through and was no longer preg.
I have still been feeling sick and very dizzy so tonight I took another test............IM STILL PREG!!! How can I be, the nurse checked my clots as i was passing them. Ive only had sex once since and that was last night. The first test I did was only just visable but the one I took tonight was GLOWING POSISITVE.
Please help, is it just hormones or am I still preg? I dont know if I can go thru it all again, I def vcant go thru another preg.
IM SCARED!!

Hmm i'm not sure i'm no expert on abortion. There is a medical abortion forum on here where they can help you, i believe one of the regular posters on there works in an abortion clinic so will be able to help you alot

im pretty sure the hormones are just makeing the test a positive
if the doctor said you are not pregnant then chill out
youre not pregnant anymore!

I know the doc said im no longer preg, but the first test i did was very very faint, it was only from experience i knew i was preg so early. But the test I did tonight was bright VERY BRIGHT as if in a further preg. After a miscarrage 4yrs ago it was neg within 5days. Its bin nearly two wks now since the abortion and its still a very bright pos result. Im so scared that im still preg or that it was twins (very hight risk on my mothers side) and the abortion didnt take place fully. I dont know if I could go thru it emotionally again.

I had a miscarriage on July 12th and I was still testing positive until the middle of August. So it could still be hormones, and just because your levels went down quickly before when you had a m/c doesn't mean that it would be the same now. Every pregnancy is different. So if you are really concerned than ask your doctor to send you for an ultrasound or else you can keep on testing like once a week to see if it is still positive.

I know I was told not to take a pg test within three weeks of my abortion as the hormones could still cause a positive test. If you passed the pg it is unlikely that the positive is anything other than residual hormones but you should have a 'follow up' appointment scheduled to check the abortion was complete. If not call your doctor (or the clinic) and ask for their advice.

Hi, I went back to the hospital yesterday and they did a scan and found no sign of preg just loads of blood still there. They said that all the blood will pass wiv my next period and the hormones left should go with it. I know panicked but I was told I would feel normal again within a day or two but I was still being sick and fainting, so when I did the test and saw postive resut I was really scared.
I have to do another test in2wks and see the result then, if it is still positive they will do a D&C to be on the safe side.
I know one thing for sure though, I dont want to be going through all this again, so no mre sex till I get sterilised at 30 lol.

I am in the uk, but for me to get sterilised I would have to pay to go private £750-£1000. I cant get it on the NHS at all, neither can my husband, he would have to go private aswell £300. Money we just dont have.

OH, I see. Yeah, at Marie Stopes it is private pay, but I believe that they offer a payment scheme to help with bills.. Just in case.. Smile

Im Going Through Exact Same ...............

cant believe what i have just read, the exact thing is happening to me! ive got 3 kids my youngest is 10 weeks old i got caught when she was 5 weeks i had a medical abortion on 17th oct i passed the pregnancy whithin 3 hours in my hand it was awful, i felt so guilty that i had to bury it in the garden (didnt know what to do with it) but ive still got pregnancy hormones... feel sick,sore boobs,pos tests its wierd but im glad ive read this now because i was begining to panic and so was my fella i never want to go through it again! were the clots you passed very laarge because ive never seen a size like it ?

they were very big, the size of a tennis ball some of them, I couldnt beleave the size of theem and that much blood was in side. But im feeling more at ease now after seeing the doctor and having a scan. If you passed your preg at home I would go to the doctors for a scan just to be sure everything is gone. Doc said a small amount left could cause the hormones to still think you are preg, and if anything is left could cause an infection

All I know when I had my abortion they told me it would take at least 2 weeks before I got a negative reading.

Sewage Smelling Passage after medical abortion

OMG!! Someone please give me advise!
I had a medical temination on the 6th October and today is the 20th October(exactly two weeks).Lately the blood has been smelling like a sewage (4days now). It started getting worse day by day.Even my partner has noticed the horrible smell.I was in the shower before and had a feel up there to clean all the crap remaining as the blood in the last 3 days have started turning into a brown gooee like substance and very little passing. As i wiggled and clean around my uterus a huge thing (size of a strawberry) came out. It was brown like the goo on the edges, had fleshy parts and also a hard dark deep red centre. I am sure I passed my pregnancy two wks ago as i saw it and all symptoms disapeared...So...What the hell just came out of me? I feel a mild pain in my uterus at present. Any answers will be greatly appreciated!
