I have condyle worn down on right side, and possible osteo arthritis here. Has anyone experienced swelling and achyness behind the lower back molar and up, inside the mouth? It also aches on the outside below the earlobe, this usually flairs after being up for about 3 hrs....Biting on these back teeth hurt too....I wear a nightguard and have had my bite adjusted twice. I feel like my face is swollen over there too. The constant pain and discomfort of this all is really getting me down. I take meds when I can't stand it, but do take a med to sleep, as anxiety was really making it worse. Dentist says its possibly muscular,as sometimes my neck aches, but the swelling achy feeling is scary. Everyone around me is tired of my sad face. Any insight from similar peeps?

have you had the wisdom teeth removed? i had that when my wisdom teeth were coming in. i had them removed and it went away. I think that perhaps you shoud see a chiropractor.

if people around you of tired of you being sad and tired, why dont they help you find help. thats what i would do. my teeth do hurt. I have a suggestion for you because yousay they think its muscular. get in touch with me. we will see if we cant sort this out.

oh and also--you can have earaches and tooth aches with out the earache or toothache. the jaw is simply referring the pain there. its simply called referred pain so yes it can cause pain in the mouth.
